Computer vision-based security monitoring

To solve for

• Company has deployed security personnel for active surveillance & CCTV for passive surveillance generally for record keeping.
• Active monitoring is human dependent & tedious task therefore there were incidents of security breach, and no one was present at the violation location.
• Monitoring CCTV footage next day daily by admin team was time consuming & error prone task.
• Since notification disseminating is not automated, therefore sometimes incident is reported late hence necessary action taken on time is delayed.

Solution

• Using CV technique, monitor the CCTV video and identify any violations. If security personnel is not moving for specific duration, then it consider that s/he is not active & likewise if someone is found at secured location & was not expected then it is considered as violation​
• Violation notification is triggered to the supervisor & violation video along with violation details is saved for records and analysis.
